Heart of the Beast (2026) Movie Review
Heart of the Beast is an emotional survival adventure centered on James Belmont and his loyal combat dog, Odin, after a plane crash leaves them stranded in the Alaskan wilderness.
Brad Pitt delivers a restrained performance, but the strongest element is the believable bond between James and Odin.
The rugged landscapes create an impressive backdrop for their dangerous journey, while the survival sequences provide plenty of tension.
The movie occasionally falls into familiar survival-movie territory, and some CGI wildlife weakens the realism.
Still, its heartfelt story, strong visuals and moving portrayal of loyalty make Heart of the Beast an engaging adventure for audiences who enjoy man-and-dog survival stories.
CR Rating: 8.6/10.
